Tour the City of London with Billy "The Cabby Historian".
This 2-hour tour focuses on specific the "Square Mile" City of London - Roman Londinium. You'll learn a great deal about the Roman, Medieval and Tudor history of the city.
Seeing major landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, but also historic sights such as the old London Wall, sites of World War 2 history, medieval executions and Roman excavations, this tour is focusd on "London", rather than Royal Westminster.
This tour is designed to experience most of what you typically wouldn't on a highlights tour. Away from the glitz and glamour of royal palaces, you'll learn about the old London - London is 2000 years old, and this is where that history is.
Note: this tour is special tour that only occurs on special dates. Duration 2 hours. Start times between 7am-8am / 2pm-3pm. Pickup and drop-off locations specified around the City of London area because this a special part-tour (our other tours offer pickups from wider locations). Pickup locations are set to either:
St Paul's Cathedral, St Paul's Station or New Change
London Bridge Station or Borough Market
Embankment Station at Embankment Place
Dropoff locations are set to either:
St Paul's Cathedral, St Paul's Station, New Change or Fleet Street (latter for historic English pubs)
London Bridge Station or Borough Market
Comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for variable weather conditions. You may want to bring a USB charger lead for your phones (standard USB connection)
Private tour guide in a London Black Cab, Air Conditioning and USB ports for phone charging.
Admission into the sights as the tour is conducted from within and out the taxi (outside of the locations, but we do get up close for narration and photography).
Wheelchairs
The taxis are suitable for wheelchair users, but the taxi can only hold one occupied Wheelchair at a time. Furthermore, tours involving occupied wheelchairs inside the taxi reduces the capacity from 6 passengers to either 3 passengers or 3 small passengers (best for 3 maximum).
